Hi folks!
Long time no chat! It's been quite a while, I wanted to update that Jen my co-writer and I are still working on the project; we're very excited to see where the 50th Anniversary and the regeneration to 12 this Fall and Christmas respectively.
However the paper is currently on a bit, as you can imagine due to our lack of updates, a hiatus. We really want to tell the story of Amy and Eleven's symbolism as that of a Peter Pan story as well as the cyclical nature of Amy's narrative extending out into metatextual territory with fairytales and River's declarations of everyone being a story and that series 5,6 and first half of 7 are said stories that can be retold and retold and one can always go back to the beginning just as Amy effectively creates a time loop in her final request at the end of The Angels Take Manhattan.
We are still actively thinking about it and consult our literature but it just due to our schedules, jobs etc it has been a bit difficult ever since we went and presented at the ICFA to truly be able to sit down and work on it effectively. We're extremely happy with the progress we have done and what we'll have to do; but it's on hold. We are hoping that as Who returns in the fall we'll find time to start it back up on a more consistent level that way we can inform people of our progress and post ideas and excerpts.
Hope to post soon!
